NFL Free Agency & News

Just a few highlights of the first day of Free Agency

Bears signed DE Julius Peppers to a 6 yr deal and RB Chester Taylor to a 4 yr deal.

Lions signed DE Kyle Vanden Bosch to a 4 yr deal and WR Nate Burelson to a 4 yr deal (former Wolf Pack WR)

Chargers traded CB Antonio Cromartie to the Jets for a conditional 2011 draft pick (2nd or 3rd rounder)

Colts re-signed LB Gary Brackett to a 5 yr contract

Panthers released QB Jake Delhomme

Dolphins release LB Joey Porter

Jets released RB Thomas Jones to avoid paying a 2.8 million roster bonus, but are trying to re-sign him

Brandon Marshall visited the Seahawks today (he's a restricted FA, and was tendered at a 1st and 3rd rd picks)

Steelers QB Ben Roethlesburger has yet again been accused of sexual assault and charges are pending in Georgia
